Successful and stress-free Medical abortion with mifepristone and misoprostol

The process of medically terminating an early pregnancy by using a combination of Mifepristone and misoprostol tablets ( abortion pills ) is a two-step method:

• The first step involves the consumption of Mifepristone (or Mifeprex) tablets consumed orally (through mouth) which causes the cervix to soften and increases uterine contractions.

• The second step involves taking misoprostol (or cytotec) pills within 48 hours of taking mifepristone. It can be consumed by mouth or inserted vaginally but the more preferred option is oral consumption.

Misoprostol causes uterine contractions so that the body can pass the uterine contents.
It is a simple and safe method of performing medical abortion at home. One can also take pain medicines in case of serious pain or can consult a doctor. This combinational pill method is considered safe for ending
early pregnancy by the FDA when taken in the following recommended dosage formats:

Mifepristone (or Mifeprex) dosage: 3 pills of Mifeprex of 200 mg each to be taken orally at once
Misoprostol dosage: 2 pills of misoprostol of 200 mcg each taken orally at once within 48 hours after taking mifepristone

Many women have successfully achieved an abortion using these two combination pills. On the 14th day of taking the first pill (Mifepristone), one can check to confirm whether her pregnancy has successfully terminated or not. An alternative to this technique is abortion pill kit which is available here.

*Note: This method is most effective and successful within the first 7 weeks of pregnancy and the chances of a successful abortion reduces as the duration of pregnancy increases.
